Really hope NC st can get 1 more runner in the top 20.. what is their path? Tyynismaa, Bush or Stephens will have to have an amazing day. (Tyynismaa could have been top 5 healthy).
Now ^THIS^, would be the “Miracle on Ice” Florida upset!
But I don’t even know whether Mazza-Downie is suiting up, lol.
Interesting choice with Asekol top 10 but no Olemomoi. Mazza Downie will probably run. If she is healthy they will run her she has the potential to score well
I've got my money on Tuohy. I think that after what happened at Nuttycombe, she'll try to stay with Valby and not let her get as much of a lead. However, based on what happened last year at finals, maybe she could let Valby go and slowly rein her in. Honestly anything could happen though.

The only drag on Tuohy is that with Chmiel not running it may affect her race strategy. Henes may or may not tell her to hang back and pace her teammates for the first k or so. More likely though Bush, Stephens, Tyynismaa, Hartman pack run and Tuohy goes off. We will find out soon.
tactics wise if I am Valby I wait till thru the rolling hills the first time (~1500 m) and then I step on gas. And then at 1500 to go (the crossover) I push even more. If I am Tuohy I stay close, and wait until right before last corner going into the downhill/uphill (~300-400 to go).

Sort of like Solomon's big move against Wolfe at ACCs last year? Dunno, I don't think Tuohy will leave it that late unless she has no choice in the matter. We'll see...

Solomon waited until even later coming off the top of the last hill, no? I think Valby will make it plenty fast that noone will will feel need or desire to pass her until close to end (if then).

Yr right. Still a gamble to wait until inside 400 to go, but if she trusts her finish that much, go for it.

If Lemngole is there she m8ght have a faster final 400m than any of them. Just a guess.
