Reading is a skill. Read what Trump is charged with and the actions that he took. Lots to choose from.
Increase your knowledge. Learn more than headlines and fox news hot takes. Take it all in an then refute it.
The entire prosecution is dependent on being able to prove that Trump knew he lost the 2020 election.
The actual indictments have been posted, they have been written here in layman's language. Chronological events have been posted. Videos of 1/6 violence, insiders admitting plans and even pleading guilt. All of these things posted 100s of times on this message board in response to right wing propaganda.
The right winger response? "Yea, but what laws were broken?". Then post some rando on twitter claiming facts are lies. Over and over, mostly to bury rationality pages back so less people will read it. Facts are devastating to the trump defense. The courts will decide.
What did he do?
Nobody seems to answer
Lots of words. Yet not a single thing he allegedly did is included in there. Amazing.
Did Trump assault someone?
Did he urge the protesters to break the law, attack the police, storm the Capitol Bldg?
Did he tell protesters to arm themselves?
What did he do. I do know he tweeted out to not use violence.
Read that thing.
What a pile of BS
This is the “Trump is a complete imbecile” defense.
See, I knew we could elevate the conversation a bit into legal theories.
We will see if that one plays out for him. It will most definitely be hard for the prosecution to argue that Trump is not an idiot.
a fun part is that trump will try to rely on the defense of 'i was only listening to what my attorneys said'
but his attorneys are all pleading guilty, one by one.
Which will not help Trumpo stay out of jail since the lawyers admit they themselves were breaking the law.
Oh Trumpo, you are betrayed by everyone. Why is that. Why is that?
You don't have to be an imbecile to doubt that Joe Biden got 81 million votes...
Did Hillary know she lost the 2016 election?
Where are the charges against her?
The defense should be to call for a summary dismissal. Basically has criminalized Trump's right to free speech and his legal and legit challenges made to the election results. He did not make up "The Russians stole it" like Hillary did
You can doubt all you want. You just can’t do illegal stuff. A child can understand this. Would word pictures help?
Try to keep up. All his legal challenges failed. He is getting prosecuted for his illegal stuff.
free speech example:” I feel their was fraud and we won the election.” Totally legal.
illlegal speech in furtherance of a criminal conspiracy to overturn the election result : “thousands and thousands of dead people voted in Georgia and they are stealing the election from us and we all will fight. We will not take it. It is a disgrace against the country”. (paraphrasing)
This after he was told repeatedly that this dead voters stuff was a lie.
any of this register?
Bringing on the first non-peaceful transfer of power in American history is an auto-DQ.
And that's *before* he called for the Constitution to be terminated.
What did he do that was illegal? Say he thinks they won? That's not illegal. Hillary said the same in 2016.
He was told dead voters was a lie so he needs to believe it? And it's illegal if he doesn't.
This is ridiculous.
Disingenuous much? This quote is from a speech given in the early AM on 11/9/2016 - care to guess who said it? "I’ve just received a call from Secretary Clinton. She congratulated us. It’s about us. On our victory, and I congratulated her and her family on a very, very hard-fought campaign." To save you time, I'll give you the answer - President-Elect Donald John Trump Jr, just after his opponent called to concede the election.
Now, can you find a quote from Joe Biden at any point after the 2020 election? I'll save you the trouble on this one too - you can't.
This will play out in the trial. Trump sought out people that would lie to him despite legal counsel that he was being lied to. But Trumps beliefs are a tiny portion of the case. It is the actions that took place at Trumps direction that will sink him.
Think about OJ getting convicted for trying to steal back his memorabilia stuff. What OJ believed didn’t matter. It is what he did with his coconspirators that caused him to be convicted. All of Trumps actions with coconspirators will be on display with Witness testimony of those in the planning rooms with Trump
They claimed Russian collusion before during and after the election.
To this day Clinton says Trump was an illegitimate president.
You are in a cult.
