It was very odd that Brahim burst onto the scene and
began to soundly beat the entire Kenyan steeplechase squad.
His sudden raise to the top of the steeple ranks surely brought suspicion to my mind! The other thing that puzzles
me is Hicham late race power. In the last two years he
have competed against (5) 3:29 performers and none of them
can come close to matching his last lap (even the runners who have faster 800m speed them him or nearly equal endurance). The margin of his victories rivals most of
track and field 1500m greats in their dominant period.
The quality of his competition is also marquee type athletes.
come on, leave hicham out of this. if he's on drugs, then so is radcliffe and we all know that's not true.
in an interview in 1998 he said he was doing 10x400m w/90 sec rest with the first 5 in 53 and last 5 in 52 closed with a 49 for the tenth. that's where he gets that closing from. don't drag people into drug talk that don't belong there.
jamie
Jamie I am not actually accusing Hicham of drugs,
I just do not recall someone that has that kind of closing
power in a 1500m against the No. 2 and 3 1500m runners
of all-time (not to mention 2 of the other top 10). Even
Geb the greatest distance runner/supreme kicker of his EVENTS, finishes pale in comparison to Hicham! His finishing power is mindblowing weekend and week out. (I am
a Hicham fan so I not saying he is on drugs; however, I am saying his finishes are INHUMAN).

All I can say is that the Kenyans are ecstatic about the news!!!!!! Everyone in Brussels is so happy that Boulami is finally caught. The Kenyans have been critisized that they are not focussing or that they are drying out, etc...but infact the others are using drugs to beat them! Now they can all take a breather and know that they are still powerhouses in the steeple. All the Kenyans doubted Boulami's WR, and they are sleepless tonight, so happy that Boulami is finally caught. Too bad he will get to keep his old WR, now the Kenyans are going to have to train like crazy to beat a time that a machine ran.
I am not actually accusing Hicham of drugs..
Oh yes you are. Note how you link them together in yoru earlier post. You "suspect" one and your "puzzled" by the other.
Be fair to people who have not tested positive, and seem to have worked incredibly hard to get where they are now.

I think many times there have been threads that whatever training the athlete does has very little to do with if they are using a performance enhancing substance. You don't become a superstud by simply injecting yourself, you have to work your a-- off.
Give me a break, guys. Am I the only one on here who is going to have the balls to come out and say El G is dirty as they come. The whole Morroccan system is dirty. Come on, your telling me that Boulami & Mourhit test positive, and EL G, the best of them all, is not dirty. How can you not even suspect that he is? They all train together, have the same coach, were brought up in the same system, and your telling me Hicham just said "no thanks" and went on to shatter world records with inhuman times. I will accuse him of doing drugs, and now with much reason. The entire Morroccan system should be investigated big time. How can track & field governing body just let this wash over like it is nothing. This is systematic doping by a country and needs to be dealt with harshly to discourage others from doing the same. Just my 2 cents.
Whatever you do, if you cheat, even nobody knows, you'll have to be ready to bear the consequences later after life. I believe whatever we're doing now whether it's bad or good, hell and heaven will talk later.
Version1: If Boulami really used the drugs, then 'suspension' is the word.
Version2: If Boulami actually did not use the drugs and still get suspended, God will redeem something for him.
You know what, I believe Bauman was not guilty, I met him in 1991 and he was so friendly and conservative. I did talk about what vitamins he took for performance, he said anything but drugs. Im sure it was only a bad case when he got the suspension. Now, he's still running fast for a man at his age. Perhaps God is giving the redemption to him by now.
I dont want to sound so religious, talking about God and stuff, but the fact, again, only HE knows and only the athletes know themselves. I dont anything else to say but just that.
Everyonr is saying the Morrocan system is dirty, and it definatley seems tainted. As with any great performances today you have to suspect drug use wether it be Boulami, Radcliff, and even Kannouchi. But if people are going to call for testing of one country, as the Kenyans are doing with Morrocco, you need to test em all. There are a number of kenyan performances over the years that suggest drug use. As t&f fans we for some reason want to believe that the kenyans and ethiopians are clean. Lets look at one or two facts. Some records are unworldly, and times in those events have never gotten to those standards again. Gebs 10k, what has been the fastst 10k in the last 2 years? About 30+ seconds slower. The 5k is the same. The fastest thsi year comes up almost 20secs slower.
Also if you consider who coaches and manages the top Kenyans and Ethiopian. They are all Italian and European looking to take huge percentages of winnings and endorsments.
To cut a long story short. Anyone who is capable of winning on the grand prix level should be looked at with reservation wether they be British, Morrocan, Kenyan or even Antartican.
How can you flippantly accuse one athlete of being on drugs yet not the athlete a couple of ticks behind?

I suppose you expected him to open up to YOU and let the world know that sure he was taking an illegal substance.
About some things ...
First I don't know Morrocco distance system well, except atlas mountain thing and long distance is the national sports and so popular and many things are ready for athlets.
Some people say
1, Morrocan elite athletes are training in the same place under the same coaches .
Is it right and anyone can show the article about this?
2,Before Boulami or Mourhit some people seemed so sure about Morrocco.
Why?Were there any decent articles or whatever about that?
And I also want to know about the relation with Mouhit and Laflafi. Is it just a heresay?
And about other things
>>Also if you consider who coaches and manages the top Kenyans and Ethiopian. They are all Italian and European looking to take huge percentages of winnings and endorsments.
Is it just what you are implying?or is it just that some teams gather top level africans?Or is it true and are there any articles about that?I know many Kenyans belong to the team of Rosa.
Sorry, but seems some of you are so sure about I don' know. Please teach me some things about Morrocan.I was busy and didn't catch up with recent news.
And about your post above...

Isn't is just those athletes are not in shape or something because of many reasons? It's not african matter of course. And it seems there are no atomosphere of record attempts .So El G,or other distance records are validated in that sense?
i'm a big fan of hicham, but are you implying that athletes don't train and do workouts on drugs? i thought that was the whole point.
Hicham does not train with Mourhit or Boulami -- they hate each other. Hicham has his own coach. That's all I know.
of 'em all! American sprinters and throwers are much more juiced up than distance runners anywhere...and have been for some time...Americans make the stuff and use the stuff more than any athletes from developing countries. They also use their influence and control of the media to keep it all under wraps, allowing athletes from developing countries to take the rap for the problem of drug use in the sport. Incredible thing is, even though the American athletes are as dirty as any others, they still suck big time..luckily they have their athletes of African descent (as do Britain & France), which allows them to save a little face.

If USATF or IAAF are covering up for American sprinters/throwers (admittedly plausible), I wonder why American distance runners haven't followed suit? American distance runners are evidently clean (or even worse than we thought)- why are they staying clean while supposedly surrounded by "dirty" teammates?
..bigtime. That's why they can't hang...even when on the juice. Meanwhile, if you look at the Europeans results in the distance races all you see is a whole new set of Africans year after year...and please don't tell me that they're all on the juice and of the dozens that toe the line each summer only 3 or 4 are getting busted/exposed.
Every world class athlete is on drugs, American or foreign. If you can run faster than a certain time in each event, then you obviously are on drugs.
Hey, Jesse Owens was on drugs. How else can you explain 4 WRs in one day?
