Hello, this might be a dumb question but I want to know what people on here have to say about this. I am 26 years old, 5'10" and 160lbs. My PRs from mile to half marathon (4:47, 10:40, 17:31, 36:50, 1:28:31) all came from when I was 17/18 and weighed 135lbs. I recognize I'm not overweight by any means, but now when I run I notice more pain in my feet and overall discomfort in my body than I used to. Particularly I noticed my feet will swell up while I'm running and cause my shoes to feel really tight. I'm wondering if this may be due to my weight and if so, is it a good idea to lose 10-15 pounds and get down to a more comfortable race weight so I can feel better while I am running? I'm only running 2-3 times a week now because I'm giving myself extra recovery time due to the pain in my feet. I'm hoping I can get this sorted out and start cranking it up to 6 days a week and get back into PR shape. Any thoughts? Cheers.
