The evidence of a convicted doper's performances isn't "anecdotal"; it is evidence. There are other documented instances of the improvements dopers have made. One such was of a Russian whistleblower - a female 800m runner - who ran 1.56x doped but could not subsequently break 2.01 clean. A 5 second improvement through doping over the 1500 is acknowledged to be conservative, as studies of non-elites have also suggested.
