Just waiting on the positive test or whereabouts failure that will never come for Jackson even tho she’s dirty af. Or any Jamaican sprinter for that matter lol.
SAFP running faster than ever in her mid thirties
ETH just happens to run insanely fast on Olympic years.
Jackson…just look at her. Good 400m runner suddenly drops down and becomes one of the greatest sprinters ever lol. While being more muscular than Lyles and damn near 30. Great @$$ tho
She ran a tactically brilliant race. Back to her best for sure. She paced it to perfection. Didn’t get caught up in the silly start but didn’t loiter at the back. Pushed the pace when she realised it was slowing. Didn’t leave it too late to go as she knows Ciara is strong. She went at the right time. None of this waiting to the last 200m and trying to outkick she often goes from the bell and hammers it home.
It's been a weird year for her. She has run some good times but perhaps suffered from being in the hard semi in Budapest. She still has some good results, including winning Millrose, and two DL wins. With the trouble she experienced over her coach, she's down pretty well and appears to be happy going into the off-season.
She has had such a strange year. I guess understandably. I was quite worried when she couldn’t even hold off Katie Snowden at the UK champs. But that race was perhaps too slow for her and she underestimated Katie’s kick at the end.
She’s had some good wins this year so I’m pleased to see her happy and back on form. One of my favourite runners in terms of grit and determination.
Why do people think Jacob can't beat Komen's great 3K record?
7'20"67 Is a monster time. I'm not sure Jakob will break it but i believe he has a chance to do it. The problem are Mile and 1500m WRs. 3'26"00 and 3'43"10 are out of this world and i firmly believe he doesn't have chances in those two distances. He should concentrate on 3k and 5k WRs. It's really hard but i believe he can get then both if he starts chasing them now before turning 25.
And before Budapest you FIRMLY believed he couldn´t beat the Ethiopians in the 5000m!
You will also be wrong about the 1500m and mile, barring illness and injury.

I agree with many of your points. Jakob's 2K and 2 mile records make me believe he can get the 1500m, mile and 3K records although I find all of his performances incredible. I just believe he is someone who may be able to achieve the records. The 2K in particular was fast. That's 3 times 800m at 1:53.2 and a final 600m in 84 +/-. I am not sure how to process that 2K result. As noted he is very young and he may be able to get the records.
and the US goes crazy about Simeon Birnbaum and the Young brothers. Well this is who they will have to face in the years going forward, along with an assortment of 18 year old Africans!

Jakob's 2k and 2 mile bests are superior to the 3k record.
I’d say the exact same thing if Lyles ran the 150 best. Total waste of time. Why doesn’t he attempt a legit record? He’s certainly capable and you never know what kind of shape he’ll be in next year.
Yeah, its an extremely waste of time to run the 2000 to match up against the best of all time. What is the point to even try to take a record from El G? Why doesn't he attempt a legit record? He is 22 years old, why did he waste the only opportunity he had by running the 2000?
All in all, a waste of time, nothing good came out of today for his career and for the running world. Bet he wakes up tomorrow and is just "aaaa, today I just got to do something productive because I wasted all day yesterday :( :( :( "
Just to prove I'm no hypocrite. I see no threads about Beatrice Chepkoech's 2000m steeple world best, and rightly so. Completely meaningless in the grand scheme of things.
World 3000m steeplechase record-holder Beatrice Chepkoech now also has the world 2000m steeplechase best to her name as she clocked 5:47.42 during the final #ContinentalTourGold of the season.
It must suck to be so incredible hatefull and salty. Today was a fun day for everyone else :)

Why don’t you criticize Manangoi and Soget for not attempting the “legit” world records? You promised us 4 years ago that they would turn out better than Jakob, so why don’t you expect them to go after the 1500/mile and 3k records? Do you still believe they’re better than him, or will you finally admit you were wrong?
I don´t think Jakob stagnated between though he didn´t improve his 1500, 3000m and 5000m. The problem was he didn´t have the opportunity to run a really fast 1500 outdoors (he did improve his indoor 1500m with more than a second breaking the WR), he didn´t run a 3000m and he only ran championships 5000meters.
When you see his performances this year it is hard to believe that they should appear after a stagnating 2022.
I agree that Jakob has been very lucky to have such a team around him but I believe the most important factor in his impressive progression is his motivation and his work-ethics. He has more than 15 years of efficient training (relative to his age) in his book. He reportedly hasn´t skipped many traning passes in these many years and only because of illness and injury.
Loosing WC 1500s:
It´s funny how you and many others are talking about Jakob LOOSING.
Do you think you would write the same if Nuguse, Hocker, Kipsang or Reynold got silver?
It is not easy to win the Olympics and the worlds even if you are the best. Just ask Morceli, El-G and Timothy. Even though Tim was the dominant runner from 2017 to 2020 he "only" has one gold and two silvers. The same as Jakob but Jakob has far better chances than Tim to get more.
