Hodgkinson and Bol - both love racing, love the sport. They'll be around at least until 2028, probably 2032.
Kipyegon and Hassan - both have said they'll move up to the marathon
Jakob - I'm a little hesitant but I think he wants to be the only person to Winn three 1500m titles
On the other side, Mu and Sydney will be done. I think if they were really good at anything else, they'd already be gone. They don't seem to enjoy track
Jakob Ingrebritsen is 22, will be 23 at the Paris Olympics. Maybe he moves up in distance, but I suspect he will be racing into his 30s.
I'd assume Ukrainian 400m hurdlers Anna Ryzhykova and Viktoriya Tkachuk would retire by the end of next year.
That might be accurate. Ryzhykova is many years older. She seems to enjoy the travel and the adventure a great deal. It's very interesting to follow her on Instagram. But realistically she can't hang on much longer.
Both Ukrainians were mid pack 400 hurdlers in Tokyo. Now they are being pushed down the ladder to the point they are underdogs to make global finals and borderline to accumulate enough points for the Diamond League final.
However, if they do retire what do they do? The political turmoil might keep them on the road and the circuit.
