Years ago, the Russian women dominated distance running but did so with great discretion - they would nudge records, win by relatively small margins on finishing kicks, etc.. They would not reveal that they could obliterate records. That way, they would win without causing the same among of stir as happens when records are crushed.

I'll go out on a limb and say at least 80% of the world records set in the past 15 years are due to performance enhancers. Are you afraid to see the harsh reality of our sport.
