Looking back on that page, the invite has been won in 15:30 before. It grew because the regional is being held there and brought out some pretty solid runners.
Seems Brad's troubles from Fort Wayne and Angola have followed him to Indy....
What troubles? Anyone know what happened with Coach Bevins at Westfield?
Bevins was fired for getting two DUIs in less than three years while she was the head coach at Westfield. Search her name in Indiana MyCase if you'd like proof.
Brownsburg's course is completely flat. It goes through an old farm field and has some drainage issues and the part in the woods might slow people down a bit. But if conditions are dry, you can absolutely cook on that course.
So far this year, Zionsville. More upside to challenge a team state title, Noblesville. I think Noblesville will put it together sooner rather than later. Still a little ways to go till state.
Question for Indiana XC veterans. I'm a Californian, and a few weeks ago when I was in Terre Haute, I ran on the cross country course. Very cool setting! I did find it challenging to run on the thick grass. I attribute this to running in California, where we don't have thick grass courses.
Is the Terre Haute XC course typical for Indiana? Or is its grass thicker than other meets?
I haven't really noticed it being thick, but I only get over there a couple of times a year. Could be that they haven't mowed it recently. Also in big meets it tends to get trampled down over as the day goes on.
