Evelyn Kemboi jogged the 1500m in 5:12 today at the NCAA West meet. It is protested on the honest effort rule and they cite medical reasons for her not running faster.
She then turns around and wins the 10,000m in 32:05....4:48 pace for 1500m...for now 10,000m...just two hours later. It appeared there would be a protest after this race.
This is the most blatant violation of the honest effort rule we have ever seen.
The NCAA should do away with the rule, if the officials don't have the guts to uphold it.
This was an absolute joke.
Maybe she had to poop.
