UW is the new middle distance legacy program. Oregon Ducks are down and done. Simeon and Connor cannot revive them, UW is too stacked.

A similar talent on the girls side is right next door at Bellevue, Kalea Hill, probably the daughter of AD John Hill, is a 9th grader with 4:48 and 10:31 in her first season. She was 3rd on Thurs..Those times in her first season are unprecedented on the girls side.

Yes and she was leading by a ton on thirsday but she died the last 200 and got caught with 100 to go. She is a gutsy racer, but she was probably over raced by this time.

Oregon died when the Powell's left. Oregon changed to a sprints school because they stopped winning.

The Boys 3A 1600 has been perhaps the best race at the Washington State Champs thus far. That has to be one of the deepest 1600 finishes in a non-allstar, non-pseudo national championship meet. A lot of good athletes and coaches out there.

So it was a 1600? So a 4:09 mile? Interesting....Because that's what his dad Andy ran as a sophomore in high school indoors.
