My track season ends tomorrow. My plan is to take the weekend through Tuesday off and then start my summer training for cross country. I want to break 17 this year in cross (ran 10:31 for 3200 in track off about 25-35mpw). Figure I'll get up to 60 this summer
I'm a little nervous that its starting too early. I'm going to plan a couple big down weeks before Labor Day, but generally plan to follow SOM.
One question... would you start right away with the workouts? Or should I build few a few weeks and then start? Was thinking spend the remainder of the school year running easy runs and strides and then once July starts, start to do the tempos and workouts Malmo notes.
