There's endless threads talking about training blocks and periods of time we've experienced leading to PBs.
I recently re-listened to a podcast with Sinead Diver post-Aussie marathon record where she mentioned she'd been training all year (2022) and it hadn't felt like it was clicking until the last few weeks of her marathon block into Valencia.
So lets have a thread talking about the times where you were training, ticking all the boxes, and it just wasn't working for you - as I think a lot of people exist in this state & it's not much fun! Maybe this can be a nice resource for someone to stumble upon in 15 years!
Personally in this now I think; a combo of the summer approaching & a few months of training to get into shape post-illness over Christmas means I'm somewhat fit, but don't feel like I'm quite setting the world alight yet. I've picked a few races to target, and started a plan I haven't used before (Pfitz 5k plan) so hopefully that'll get me out of this funk!
But how about you? Have you experienced this before?
