I’m so lost right now. My foot doesn’t hurt when I jump. It doesn’t hurt when I run. When I press down on it really hard I feel a bit of tenderness. It’s on the top of my foot. I don’t want to run on it if it is a stress reaction. Someone please help

Doesn't sound like anything serious, just take it easy for a few days and you'll be right as rain

Probably Navicular stress reaction.
Hit the bike for 6 weeks before it becomes a stress fracture or avascular necrosis. ...Tricky to diagnose especially early on, but the treatment is the same. A doctor might diagnose it properly but in many instances they take an x-ray and say they don't see any sign of stresser despite x-rays typically don't show stresses until 4-6 after symptoms appear (calcium build up won't be present in an x-ray until weeks or months of natural "healing") A doctor who is an actual runner themselves is always preferred for properly diagnosing. A good one will use an old school tuning fork to vibrate the tender spot to see your pain reaction which is a very reliable technique. Lay off now or you will end up in a boot!

Are you asking for help with stopping pressing down on it really hard?

It's hard to navigate discomfort with running, especially for newer runners. My experience is that small things hurt all the time if you train seriously, and most of them can be run through just fine. That said, you can obviously get burnt with this, so you also have to learn what type of discomfort is problematic to you and what is usually okay. My take is that you can only get that subjective intel by testing out what you can handle from time to time. From what you describe: "A bit of tenderness" while pressing down hard and no pain while running, this sounds like something that you can try running through. I'd go even further and say that if you take big chunks of time off for "injuries" at this level of severity, it may be tough to ever string together a long period of consistent training.
That's all to say, if it doesn't hurt while running, don't overthink it. If it starts hurting while running, reassess. If pain gets worse over the course of a run, take that seriously. If it hurts a little bit for the first ten minutes of a run today then goes away, see how it feels tomorrow.
Cant stress fractures not hurt and than running on them make them end up hurting a lot
Is that what's happening? If you're not feeling pain running then you're likely fine. You would know the second you start running because you'd have a sharp + constant pain. Imaging takes 1.5-2 months for an MRI? If you're worried you have to decide if you want to take any time off.

Yea first I have to get a mandatory x ray. And since most stress fractures don’t show up on x-rays, the hospital has to order a bone scan and it takes 1.5-2 months. I’m going to see my physio tomorrow about my foot and see what he thinks. Did a workout today with again no pain and felt good. Still some tenderness when I dig deep into it
