Sorry, I meant it seems to make no clear sense, really to run the mile rather than 1500M.
I guess maybe?? I do not see that in any way as some driver for this change , just my opinion. It was never communicated to Coaches at least as of this morning...no big deal, you run this no matter. I think although the distances are looked at without much distinction...the extra 100 plus as a mind set, has people let it all loose slightly later..if you get what I mean? Slightly. You have to get the last 100+ home, not completely waxed at 1500M.
I agree with you, pacemaking/wind seem to have further importance in a mile and if you’re the organizers is that what you want. Pre Mile is almost always slow as the third lap is run near 60 seconds. European stadiums tend to offer better wind protection though maybe this stadium is better than old Bowerman I don’t know. If this were a 1500 I’d think 3:31 would take it, as a mile I think 3:49 or 3:50.
Again , not to be disagreeable
i like the way you think things thru
but 3:31 or even sub 3:50
from who in this field
not sure i see that
My guess (hope) is she is not pacing and we see her race. But, my other question is - where is Schweizer?
Yeah , I guess, I could see that.
So, I am looking at this
It now says again that it is a 1500M, but at 4:22 Eeastern and the viewing window starts on NBC at 4:30? Why?
Yeah...really hope they have the world feed available to us because I'd like to see the race. Hope it is a 1500, and to the fast times predicted previous poster correct in Tim or the youngster Reynold (who's run a solo 3:33) would push it. I think Tim wants to return to his 2017-2021 style and while occasionally he'd run 3:33/3:50+ he mostly ran 3:28-3:32.
While I wonder if they ever know what the fans want, a little weird, either the meet itself wouldn't have moved things 8 minutes..or...??
But to not show a fairly decent 1500M IN the window?
It is the mile, and it will be switched with the men’s 800, so the mile will be in the nbc window but the 800 will not.
LInk said it was back to a 1500 and why would they dump the 800?
This is still the info on this link anyway
How do you know this? I've been trying to get a definitive schedule from meet organizers and have been unsuccessful so far. That 1500 NEEDS to be in the NBC window. Especially because, as far as I can tell, there is no way to watch the Saturday events that are outside the TV window.
Might be slightly wishful thinking but would be great to see Centro run a sub 3:58 and Kobbs Hessler a sub 3:54
Hi JG, King, now the schedules are switched and 1500 is on
Thanks TL lol
but they took a very solid 800 out of the window lol
clueless program management
