Some white folks forever lying. How many times are guys going to continue with this lie. This is exactly why African-American history is taught, which racist idiots like you think is CRT (Law School course).
How in the can the first slave owner in an English colony in America be black when he was captured in Africa? Please inform us how he arrived in Virginia? Did he purchase a ticket to get on a ship?
He Antonio, was captured by the Portuguese and taken against his will across the Atlantic Ocean as a slave. You do know his name was not Antonio. What black person born in Angola in the 16th century was named Antonio? None. That was the name given to him by his enslavers. He arrived in 1621 in Virginia and was sold to a white man named Bennet on a tobacco farm. Official slave laws weren't passed in Virginia until the 1660s, but that doesn't mean you weren't treated as a slave.
Antonio, who changed his name to Anthony ended his indenture in 1647. Why was he indentured in the first place, as he was taken against his will and forced to work. He acquired land in 1651 and started his own tobacco farm. He acquired workers just like whites had been doing for decades as indentured servants. One of his 5 indentured servants, John Castor claimed his indenture had expired years earlier after Anthony Johnson's neighbor, Robert Parker intervened and offered John Castor work in 1654. Johnson had to sue to get Castor to come back and finish his work on Johnson's farm. Johnson initially lost the case but won on appeal and Parker was forced to pay court fees. The court said Johnson owned Castor. This was in 1655.
The first "official" and using that term loosely, slave in an American English colony was John Punch fifteen years earlier in 1640. Punch ran away with two other indentured servants who were white. When the 3 were captured, the whites were given additional years to their servitude, while John Punch was given a sentence "to serve his said master or his assigns for the time of his natural Life here or elsewhere". That is officially the first slave in an English colony in America. John Punch's owner was white. This also started the practice of chattel slavery.
This is exactly why history needs to be taught. I suggest you read up and learn all about American history.
Oh...I almost forgot to tell you what became of Anthony Johnson. Two years after the Castor case, Edmond Scarborough, another neighbor of Johnson forged a letter stating that Johnson owed his money. Which is totally false, as Anthony Johnson was illiterate and couldn't have written the letter. The court awarded Scarborough, who was white, 100 acres of Johnson's land to pay off the fraudulent debt.
Johnson then moved to Maryland and leased 300 acres for 99 years. He started a tobacco farm on the land. Johnson died in 1670 and his wife Mary tried to bequeath the land to her grandsons. His land was given away by the courts to a white colonist. The white Judge said that Anthony Johnson was not a citizen of the colony of Maryland because he was black. So much for passing on generational wealth. Also at that time colonies began to pass laws making black people slaves and denying them any rights...which continued until the mid 1960's and which is now being reversed in several state legislatures today.
In a little-noted legal article in 2004, Carlos Muñiz, then a private attorney and now chief justice, affirmed that abortion rights are protected by the Florida Constitution's privacy clause.

Most of early American history was of Europeans, specifically the English, since they founded America. There were some indigenous tribes out west involved, but fewer in the east.
Also, the first slave owner was black which is never mentioned.
You obviously flunked history. The English founded America? Uh....Newsflash little dumb white boy. The history of this land didn't start with Europeans.
First off you can't find anything first, if someone is already living there. People were already here from Alaska to the tip of South America 20,000 years before Columbus discovered he was lost. Just some indigenous tribes out west...SMH
Secondly, the English were not the first to land anywhere in North, Central or South America. The first white boys to set foot on what is now called the United States, were not English. It was the Spanish in present day St. Augustine, FL in 1513.
Thirdly how in the world can the first slave owner in the English American colonies be black, when he arrived here as a slave and was sold to a Virginia planter named Bennet. The Portuguese captured him from present day Angola and named him Antonio.
You are the living example of why we need more history taught.

The country we know as the United States of America wasn’t founded by the indigenous populations or the Spanish. Looks like we need a deeper level of history taught in your school beyond the basic “white boy bad”.

I'll just wait until the 6th booster is available.
“The Hill We Climb” was challenged by the parent of two students at Bob Graham Education Center in Miami Lakes. It was not immediately clear why the parent objected to Gorman's poem.
An altercation between two groups at the Hollywood Broadwalk in Florida erupted into gunfire Memorial, injuring at least nine people, including minors, police said.
As I asked someone else, why doesn't Indiana have the same gun violence rate as Chicago? And why doesn't New Hampshire have the same murder rate as Baltimore? If it is truly the guns, wouldn't it be far more dangerous than the gun-controlled state of Maryland?
