Makes sense to me. I know the overall white out of wedlock birth rate is about 30%, but the rate for immigrant whites is around 10% so it makes sense they do better.
Anecdotally, my mother is from the UK and our family truly emphasized education
# of black people -- or gay -- who have moved from Florida because of "bad man" DeSantis...
Zero.
And I think DeSantis plays footsie with censorship too much but spare us the fake "outrage." Pro-choice people have a better case and DeSantis' heavily gerrymandered pandering on that issue will cost him dearly.
Also was one of the most blatant in suppressing black voters for 116 years.
Despite common perception, the 15th Amendment did not guarantee blacks the right to vote. Rather, it is a negative statement. It says the right to vote cannot be denied because of race. The distinction is critical. It allowed the South to develop barriers to voting that would eliminate blacks' votes without coming into conflict with the 15th Amendment.
Soon after the Civil War, there was an explosion in the number of black voters (male only) and black elected officials. Nineteen blacks were elected to the 76-member Florida Legislature, and Josiah Walls, a former slave and Union soldier from Alachua County, became Florida's first black member of Congress when he won election in 1870. He would be the only black member of Congress from Florida for the next 116 years.
By 1876, Reconstruction was over, and Florida politicians would adopt many provisions to eliminate black voting. The Sunshine State would "legally" eliminate black votes without violating the 15th Amendment. Between laws passed by the Legislature and the adoption of the 1885 Constitution, almost every black vote was eliminated.
Florida, like every one of the former Confederate states, adopted a white primary, grandfather clause, poll tax, literacy test, long residency requirements and other obstacles to black voters. It was a virtual fail-safe system. If one barrier failed, there would always be another to stop them from voting.
Editor's note: Today and on the two Sundays to follow, USF St. Petersburg professor emeritus Darryl Paulson will lay out the many ways that Florida has discriminated against...
I'm sorry, can you point me to which recent Florida law, as it relates to the NAACP travel advisory, makes Florida a racist state, or descriminates against one race?

Let's see.....You apparently aren't woke and literally been in a coma.
The racist governor purposely picked the African-American history AP course and wanted the syllabus and curriculum of the course changed. When have you ever heard of any governor anywhere ever picking a single HS class and demanding that it be changed. Never.
The racist governor has eliminated diversity, equity and inclusion in the state government and public. Who the hell is against that other than racist pos white men?
The racist governor has banned books in public schools with black characters whenever race is addressed in the book, along with him being homophobic and complete anti LGBTQ.
The racist governor pass a law called the stop woke act.
A new law in Florida has instituted restrictions on how schools and businesses can teach race-related concepts. The law, called the Stop Woke Act, limits instruction on critical race theory. It's the latest part of Republican...

With the help of GOP supermajorities in the statehouse, the Republican has been able to push through an aggressive agenda that forms the base of his White House run.
If you’re black, statistically St Louis is far more dangerous
or Chicago, Baltimore, New York, Philadelphia, Seattle, San Fransisco... Kansas City. Florida happens to be a great place for black Americans. And they won't tell great young athletic boys to compete in the girls category.
We are witnessing political nonsense. The decree was from a Florida resident... fake, abuse of power.
Florida is not racist. Ron DeSantis is not racist. This is just partisan politics and when you fall for it and promote it, you actually harm black people. Abortion in the US has been a tool of white powerful men and women to subdue the birthrate of blacks. It is a purposeful genocide. Black Americans have had their family structure destroyed by democrats. If you are okay with that, keep Biden and his destructive cabinet members in place. If you want black Americans to succeed, have education and healthy families with intact males, you might want to consider the bright side.
In a violent start to the Memorial Day holiday weekend, violence in Baltimore overnight left five people injured and four of them were hurt in a quadruple shoo

Banning an AP Black History course is actually the opposite of racist. Is there an AP White history course? Or a Hispanic history course? What kind of racist thinks blacks need their own history course? Black History is already taught as part of American history.
It sounds like the books he banned were likely racist as well. But again you haven't provided an actual examples of the governor doing this, you are just name calling.

Oh...repubs want blacks to succeed, have an education and healthy families? Then explain why they attempt to suppress our vote. Stop diversity, equality and inclusion. Deny us our allocation of our tax dollars for schools (Florida A&M had to sue the state of Florida for its state allocated funds. Also Florida put a cap on what the enrollment could be at Florida A&M, but not UF, FSU, UCF and USF).
States with the most gun violence definitely share one trait all right.
Someone who is capable of thinking beyond the most immediate circumstances of course might question why the rate of gun violence in Indiana is not as high or higher than Chicago if availability is the determining factor, but that might start to get them in trouble if they think it all the way through
Just look at Irvine vs Oakland. They’re both in gun controlled California, yet one is one of the safest cities in the country while the other isn’t exactly safe.

You sound exactly like your daddy and grand daddy when the they had a problem with BET.
You don't need to call a course a white history course if all the history courses are white. You obviously haven't read most American history books which glosses over anything that is about people of color.
Also black history didn't start when whites colonized Africa and conceived and implemented the largest forced migration in mankind.
The history of humanity starts with black people in Africa.
Your comments are exactly why numerous history classes are needed and taught.
Most of early American history was of Europeans, specifically the English, since they founded America. There were some indigenous tribes out west involved, but fewer in the east.
Also, the first slave owner was black which is never mentioned.
With the D1 East Regional being held in Jacksonville Florida I am hearing that some athletes are not happy about not changing the venue and that they plan to turn this event into an opportunity to show their feelings and expose Florida as a State of racists.
OP was lying from the start. Not a single protest from any athlete, male or female. Not a single protest from any fans. Typical troll just trying to stir up Helter Skelter.
