I’m a huge sucker for relays; the teamwork, the grit, the desire, thus I was disappointed when Valor rolled out their 4x800 without Eike, but in the end, he’s only 4-5 seconds faster than his replacement (Warren) and that wouldn’t even have gotten them third. Sure, the race could’ve played out differently with him in it, but the chance they had of beating Vista or CT was objectively low.
I understand the negative sentiment towards Valor, and I understand that hindsight is 20/20, but why criticize the decisions that objectively panned out well and got their team on the podium?
