There are actual issues facing trans people today.
Trans people deserve dignity. They deserve to be gainfully employed in the jobs they are qualified for, not discriminated against based on their identity. They deserve to show up as themselves, dress like themselves, and have their pronoun preferences honored.
They deserve access to healthcare. Gender affirming health care. I don't care that this health care has only been around for a century. Every reputable medical association and trans people themselves have said that such healthcare is life saving. Whether this health care should start at puberty or in adulthood, is honestly for each person and their family/doctors to decide, not the general public. I don't like the government dictating what medication you should or should not be on no matter what it is.
They deserve access to public bathrooms that fit with their gender identity. What are y'all doing in public bathrooms that make you think this can't be so? Y'all staring at people through the cracks in the stalls? Come on, go in do your business and leave. Sending trans women to the men's bathroom is ridiculous.
But this is not all the movement is asking for. What they are asking for is for so many of us to suspend our intelligence, deny basic biology for their precious feelings, what they are asking for entry into spaces that give them a horribly unfair advantage.
How much mental gymnastics do you have to do as one of these trans girls to believe this is fair? Denying reality is not in the handbook of equity. The reality is that you are biologically male. It's not an arbitrary assignment, it's not bigotry, it's a fact. Women asked for separate but equal when it comes to sports for a reason. However you identify, it's absurd if anyone thinks it's fair that biological men compete in physical competitions against women.
