In June, there's a local track meet for adults 18+. As a 32 year old, there aren't many opportunities to race on the track anymore, so I really want to race the 800. My daily trainers are HEAVY (mostly as a result of having size 11.5/12 feet). In a perfect world I'd just buy some spikes, but I'm struggling to justify dropping $60-$70 to potentially race a few track races here and there over the next several years. Can anyone recommend a good shoe that would work well enough for racing 800s but could also just be my regular road racing shoe the rest of the time?
