Hil. Davidson is gonna struggle to make state if the region they are in is the same They return: Boyd - 15:46 Rona - 16:32 Limbert - 4:55 Hays - 4:56 Rockwell - 5:01 Shelton - 5:01 They will have a solid 1&2, but they will need their 3-5 to step up. Boyd will be the only senior, so we can expect them to come back strong in 2024.
Hope Boyd can be back. He hasn't raced since November. Broken bones in your foot can derail a career quickly. HD may not be able to get out of Districts without him. Big step back for those Cats.
Why don’t you think that? They return 4:19, 4:22, and 4:24 seniors, and also another person who ran a 10:14 as a freshman.
Just takes 1 more to score. There are 3 people that can fill that spot: -Senior who ran a 16:40 5k last year, but didn’t have as great of a track season. Maybe he is better at cross -Rising Junior who ran a 10:27 3200 / 17:02 5k -Rising sophomore who ran a 4:55 / 10:31
And how many teams get to state out of the region? 5, right?

15:13, 15:32, 16:00, 16:40, 17:00
That's a pretty big 1-5 gap. Gonna fall on those 4-5 guys, as it usually does. It helps have those two out front tho.

I think that a rising sophomore who ran a 10:14 as a freshman will be able to run faster than 17:00
Marlington will win D2 again this year and then fall way off after this season probably. The school district isn't in good shape and might have to be absorbed by surrounding schools eventually.
Can Solon OH make the state meet this year? They have a history of high state meet finishes. At the beginning of last season, they beat Hil. Davidson (who ended up taking 5th), and things started falling apart for Solon at the end. Here is what Solon returns Esper - 12 - 9:51 Hill - 11 - 10:03 Jiang - 12 - 10:07 Smith - 12 - 17:17 5k Kirksey - 10 - 4:39 / 10:23 Klein - 12 - 10:30 / 4:52 Peterson - 10 - 5:08

I imagine it'll be hard for them to make it. M. Jackson is really strong next year, and they'll always be the other Stark Co. teams to contend with (Glen Oak, for example) and that's just a portion of the region. Chardon, Mentor, others, etc. I just don't see this squad having any horses up front to get them in the mix.

Kilbourne has much better of a chance that Solon
But Kilbourne and Solon aren’t in the same region.
