Question: Need to get some shoes to begin walking/running again and finally running. Goal is to get out 2-3 times a week for a couple of miles. Just need to run again. PT suggested a Couch to 5K type program. Makes sense. I have a Ossur brace for my knee. It is designed to wear doing arduous activity and should provide some separation at the meniscus joint to keep inflammation down and prevent/delay bone-on-bone. I need something with good cushion and stability. Have always worn Brooks, so am looking at the Addiction. Running store kid also suggested Hoka, Saucony, and Asics models which are supposed to provide similar cushioning and stability.
Any suggestions? Please give me your views. I want/need to start getting out there again.
