Also, I'm glad that someone made the comment regarding that it's not just Nike. Nike gets slated in various newspapers then you look up who owns that newspaper and their company is doing very similar practices. I would have thought that ANY shoe manufactured in certain areas and indeed certain countries will be linked - if not directly - to forced labour. Well, that is not very woke so there you go.
If you want to take wokeness out of the equation, I'd look for a smaller brand that is locally manufactured and does not really advertise. But the issue is that will the quality be there? I think it can be. But if your shoe is not woke what about your clothes? And you better not be getting anything from any major internet retailers.
