They probably practice their relay more than any other nation. Their hand-offs are refined and pure. They make the Americans look dumb and like amateur hour due to the US' inability to work well as a team.

Canada has basically ran the same 4 people in the same order for a long time now. Its Brown to Blake to Rodney to Degrasse. I don't think any other non Highschool/ College relay has had the luxury. When the relay pool is basically 4-6 people it is a lot easier to find some consistency.

The US can’t set up a (4 year) 6 pool system? Why?
At the 1932 Olympics the USA sent Bob Kiesel, Emmett Toppino, Hec Dyer and Frank Wykoff to run the 4x1, no Eddie Tolan, no Ralph Metcalf, no George Simpson. In heat two that team above ran a world record 40.61 and would win the gold in the final.
As we know Tennessee State Tigerbelles won in 1960, only time a college team represented the USA in a 4x1.
