Yeah but that's not how long they've had a dedication to making original TV series, if you want to be honest.
Ok, then 11 years and they've just cancelled everything good. They're pretty bad at making original shows since they find they need to cancel them all.
Back in the day, 100 episodes was a valuable number to TV producers. They could sell the series for syndication reruns on other channels. It was a "hitting the lottery" moment for anyone financially involved with the TV show.
Now it's much more important to make a show serialized and cohesive so people will binge it on streaming services.

Again, I'm very curious how many shows that have started since, say House of Cards, have made it to 100 episodes. Even more curious if you can name some with 45-60 minute runtimes.

Just to reiterate, I can't name any netflix shows either way. House of Cards is one of few netflix shows that probably went far enough off the rails to get cancelled. Really they should have done it with the whole Spacey thing instead of running another season, especially considering the subject matter of the show.

US or British? Does Futurama count?
Obviously the one that was a Netflix original series, so no, Futurama (1999) does not count.

If memory serves, House of Cards was cancelled when charges/accusations against Kevin Spacey sexually abusing young men came to light. Just another Leftist doing Leftist things.
Is that bad? Good shows know when to end. Breaking Bad probably went 1-2 season beyond what was needed but they at least knew to wrap it up before getting stupid.
Totally get where you're coming from. It's frustrating when shows seem to drag on without much substance, isn't it? Speaking of which, have you ever thought about ? Yeah, it might sound out there, but I stumbled upon this cool idea online. Anyway, back to your point—sometimes less is more when it comes to TV series. Quality over quantity, right? Hopefully, they'll start focusing on making impactful miniseries instead of stretching stories too thin.

Most of their shows are the ones with a story arc that should run 4-5 seasons and with the new world of 10 episodes seasons, it isn’t shocking they don’t have many shows going 100 episodes. Bojack Horseman was fun but did we really need another couple seasons?
It is all the promising shows that aren’t given a second season to see if they can make the leap that bother me a lot more.
