As a student-athlete, I've always been interested in experiential learning, which is the process of learning through direct experiences. That's why I was thrilled to hear about this program, which offers us the opportunity to train in a different country, experience a different culture, and engage with people from different backgrounds.
To me, this type of learning is invaluable. It broadens my perspective and enhances my cultural competence, which are skills that I believe are essential for personal and professional growth. Additionally, the program offers academic components, which I'm really excited about. Learning about the history and culture of Kenya, as well as the challenges facing the country, will not only help me understand the context of where I'm training, but also allow me to gain a deeper understanding of the world.
Overall, I believe that the NCAA Summer training program in Kenya can offer us student-athletes a unique educational experience that goes beyond the traditional classroom setting. It provides us with the opportunity to learn from real-life experiences, which can enrich our personal and professional growth. I can't wait to see what this program has in store for us!
