Would love to hear how you runners (especially veterans) structure your weeks! Might learn a thing or two as a beginner runner, also would like to get feedback on my current weekly structure.
Since my mileage has been slowly increase, weekly runs have started to become more difficult and I realized that eventually there wont be anymore easy short runs.
Did 22 miles last week over 4 runs, this week expecting to do 23 miles
Monday: Long run - 7.5 miles (11.2 min/mile pace)
Weds: Tempo with Rest - 6 miles (10 min/mile pace)
Thursday: Negative Split (Start slow finish strong) - 4 miles
Friday: Intervals with Rest - Warm up + 4x800 (8.30 min/mile pace)
Due to work (+commute) and gym training, this is the best I can structure my weekly exercise schedule. I am slowly transitioning to a 2 day lifting, 1 day run/lift and 3 days run schedule.
