His one claim to fame in all his time with Bowerman was a fast 5,000. Bowerman is not the place for middle distance runners. Schumacher's training is geared towards long distance track runners -- steeple to 10,000. His track record with middle distance runners is pretty poor.

Whenever I see a post like this, I immediately wonder if this person is either in the subject group or has an "in" within the group. Like, I know the post is completely logical and everything, but what interest do you have in defending these girls so vehemently unless its actually personal to you? Even if I disagree with a post, I don't really care too much about arguing with an anonymous LRC troll... though perhaps if it was about me, a training partner of mine, etc., I would feel differently.
Funny to think we sometimes might be talking with the pros on the boards without even knowing it lol!

Anyone running for any Nike sponsored program, should not be taken seriously. Nike is funding the doping and making sure athletes are not caught. Staying ahead of the doping game. AS was just a small fish in the NIke pond of doping agents.
