Since Leroy Burrell has taken over as head coach at Auburn T&F, is their reason to think they may put more resources into their distance and XC programs. Seems like it could be an up and coming program. Thoughts?

No, there is no reason to think that. If they invest at all in distance, it would be via a foreign pipeline. Burrell would rather win (or lose) with sprints and jumps, regardless. It's not like Houston was a major player in distance in their state, conference, or region.
AU XC/ distance coach arrived a year prior to LB. The season before his arrival, AU finished last on women’s side and behind a program with no scholarships on the men’s side (from memory and it’s too late this evening to look it up). The new guy has them mid pack and moving up, and scoring points at conference.
