FAU's loses this year were to Ole Miss, UAB, and MTSU.
I don't think a legitimate Final Four team should have lost games to UAB and MTSU.

Miami lost to Georgia Tech and Florida St - two teams that were awful this year.
UConn lost back-to-back to St Johns and Seton Hall.
San Diego St lost to New Mexico. Really their only bad loss of the year.
College teams have bad losses all the time. It is what makes the tournament so unpredictable.
Let’s go flying a$$ hulls
The emphasis on 3 point shooting has helped with parity in college basketball. Miami shot 44% for 3 and Houston shot 29% in their sweet 16 game when Miami blew out UH. Back in the day, you did not get to the final four without a 7' center and a 6'8" power forward. Those kind of players are generally rare commodities in college ball. But today, you don't need that kind of presence in the paint and can get to the final four with perimeter shooters dropping 3s and good ball handling. The talent pool for those kind of players is deeper because you do not have to be a genetic freak (7 ft or 6'8' and 200 lbs and fast) like centers and power forwards. So, there are now many more teams in college basketball that can have a shot at a big win if they are hot shooting and play good defense.
