i had a sacral stress fracture and took 7 weeks off until it hadn’t hurt at all to walk for 3ish weeks, i could cross train completely with no pain, and hop. i was completely pain free.
i started running with 1 min jog/4 min walk on turf and it went great, no pain before or after. i did the same with 2/3, 3/2, every other day. then i did 4/1, and here i noticed it started to hurt again, but only AFTER the run. it was kind of hurting to walk, even the day after. then i ran 8/2, and was really worried going into it, because it had hurt all day. but, it didn’t hurt at all during the run. i felt better running than not. it hurts now, the day after, worse than when i first started.
so basically my sacrum doesn’t hurt at all to run, but hurts more than it did when i first came back AFTER running. is this bad? i’ve been doing the elliptical everyday with no pain. is it safe to keep running? can phantom pain be after the runs and continuing days after too?
