Cheptegei has had a rough two last years. Much as I can't choose between the two of them – +256 to the top, always – I want to think that he's motivated and talented enough to match & exceed Kiplimo at top form.
2. For the first time I didn't yell at the idiot commentators. I didn't almost destroy my TV as the commentators showed us how little they know about running.
The three of them did a great job!! I thoroughly enjoyed the coverage.

Ahhh yes! It's hard to keep track. I wonder how many professional runners there are in the US and world wide.
I think by pro it's someone who can sustain themselves with the money the make running. They may have another job but don't NEED that job to make ends meet.
He knows it’s a wake up call; that’s why he raced today. Save your angst for another day should he DNF.
Thanks for the thoughts, sincerely. Maybe the tone didn’t come through, but not much angst here. I’m not thinking a wake up call for Rupp, more for us as fans of the sport in general. Just makes me reconsider that Rupp would be a shoe in to make the team for Paris, which prior to this result I would have had him winning the trials.
didnt expect much push back. For a 2:06/59 high guy, barely breaking 65 is a pretty rough result objectively.
