6:05 (I ran 6:05 solo time trial on road a week before World Senior Games 3000m last year - and early in the year ran 6:09 pace for 3000m, so I'm guessing just under 6:00 in race circumstances).

didn’t train well when I was at a small time college but it means I’m still within a minute of my PB
You can do it 30 is prime time. I'd focus on a few 600m's if you have the option then over shoot the range and race a few 1,000m's if available this will assist with your speed and endurance. Believe it or not I had a tough time getting under 2:00 myself. I ran 2:00.84 and lowered it to a 2:00.08 and could not figure out why I was stuck at 2:00. I ran a 1,000m and ran 2:27.35 before breaking 2:00 which makes no sense. The next 800m I ran was 1:53. Good luck get the speed down and the 2:00 barrier will come and go for you!!!
