Fanagan, does she mention sharing that first incident with Adam? Does she comments on that at all? I'm guessing if Adam knew he would try kill Alberto, no?

The story I was told about the NOP was a very prominent US runner was considering joining the team. He was handed a bag of pills and told to take them. He was sharing a room with Rupp and went into the bathroom and started trying to google the names he could see from the side of the pills in small letters.
They person who told me this story imagined it was some sort of test. If you took it witout hesitation, then Alberto would know what he could get away with.
Now I heard this story 2nd or 3rd hand. But now that Salazar is disgraced, I should ask this runner if they'll go on the record about it. Originally, I was told not to ask them about it as they didn't want to cross Nike. Now they'd still be crossing Nike but it might be more acceptable to do so.

i think you could be rubbing that area, without going in, and it is still VERY BAD. but it is not to the same degree. There is a lot of assuming going on about penetration. would be nice if this was cleared up.
to be clear, neither is excusable, but they are NOT the same thing.
Another Alberto fan boy looking for a reason to justify sexual assault
The thing I don't really understand is that she didn't complain/tell after the first incident. Kept getting massages. Then it happened. Still no police reports, allegations, etc. Only now - once the gravy train of running has slowed - are the allegations coming out.
Not saying it happened or didn't happen. It's just odd to me.
You must not be familiar with how abuse often works. It is fairly common for a wife to do nothing while a husband beats her over a very long time period. Not reporting it or changing the situation in anyway so it doesn’t happen again. Some will get it together at a later time and report it or try and change course though.
You can think this is odd, but it is fairly normal human behavior for a good portion of society.

You are not necessarily incorrect BUT then both the absence of evidence and the presence of evidence become evidence. So the bar becomes so low as to be laughable. Why didn’t she complain contemporaneously? Oh well her lack of contemporaneous complaint is textbook evidence that it happened. Well I have never sexually assaulted any person BUT I suppose any person’s contemporaneous silence about me could then be used as evidence against me.

This story honestly makes no sense. He was giving out pills to people that weren't even on the team? What happens if an athlete just immediately reported him for that? Feels like something got lost in translation here
It is perfectly normal that abuse victims don’t immediately do something about the abuse. Attempting to use that it wasn’t reported immediately as evidence that it didn’t happen is a nonstarter.

It also sounds like it could be one of Alberto's pranks.

All true, but both spouses (almost) always lie in contested divorce cases.

This is a straw man, c'mon. To use fancy words to prove to you that I can do it to: "A lack of a contemporaneous complaint does not preclude the possibility of assault" (what the first poster said) is completely different from "A lack of a contemporaneous complaint is positive evidence that assault happened" (the straw man argument you address).
One says "a lack of a complaint isn't evidence against something" (the first) and the other says "a lack of a complaint is evidence for something" (yours). Those are logically different things and I think you know that.

My post went above your head. The issue is that both nonreporting of abuse and reporting of abuse are used as evidence of abuse. So the accuser should be believed because whether she initially reported it or not this is a classic sign of being a victim.
