My Maxfly’s were getting to the end of the 2nd season of use and the bubble popped just before a major race.
All I could get was the Victory’s which are just as bouncy but super light weight.
All reviews I read said they are not proper sprinting shoes and also are too unstable, especially around the bend.
Well, today was my first race in them and I dropped my 100m PB from 11.86 to 11.64. Not fast I know, but I race the 200/400 much better and I’m a couple of years away from 50.
I really don’t think you need a full length stiff plate for best performance and believe the reduction in weight is so much more valuable.
Gonna race a 200 in then tomorrow and expecting another PB off today’s result, then a 400m the next day.
