Valby was running just for herself since her team didn't have a chance at first place. Tuohy was following a team plan and pacing her teammates to drag them along to place as high as they could trying to get a team first place (which they did). Once they reached the planned point Tuohy was free to go all out. It was actually a very impressive run down. The race probably would have looked a lot different had she not been also trying for a team victory. Just a thought..
