i’m injured, and i like to do the elliptical to cross train. i have gotten intense on it, and do 2 days in a row of hard efforts then 1 easy. i also do doubles some days, where i’ll go on twice. the volume i do on the elliptical is 7.5 hours a week, but i only ran 4.5 hours a week. i know that’s not a lot for you guys, but i’m a highschool runner, by the way.
i want to put in the work and work HARD, but don’t want to “overtrain” while cross training. is this even possible anyway? if so, how would you avoid it?
