I am currently a student teacher and a track runner. I have field experience obligations this semester that I need to fulfill and the only day that works for me is on Fridays due to my class schedule. The problem is that most of my track meets are on Fridays. I am able to make the practices and the training sessions, but can not compete as often :(.
What's the point of being on the team if you can only train and not compete? The reason the school wants you there is for meet days. They really dont care about your fitness. You are there to compete and represent the school.

Does anyone else have this problem??
I was in that exact situation years ago. Looking back, it's that moment when your competitive days are ending, priorities are changing, and life is knocking on the door asking you to move on. I did student teaching the final semester of my senior year, was tired all the time and ran like crap, but now... I've got a great career teaching and coaching.
At some point things come to an end, change, etc. You're just sitting at the crossroads right now.
