Good thing you remembered you are a runner. I mean if you forgot you could have missed your flight. Could you imagine you are sitting in the travel cart with the other 500 pound people going I totally forgot I am a runner and could have made it on foot!
Why didn't you travel first class? You would not have needed to run because you would have had concierge check-in and expedited customs/boarding plus a VIP lounge experience to enjoy while your paperwork was being processed. You also would have received a bus or cart ride to the plane.
You need to talk to Poker Player Mike Matusow I was at WSOP and his electric scooter does like 50 mph. I could swear he usually has some body parts on the front of it from running people over to get to the table on time.
How many non-runners (adults) do you know that get 150 minutes of cardio per week? I’m not sure I know any. I know plenty of runners, though, and they are all in way better shape than the non-runners many of whom around my age or younger and already on some sort of long-term medication for blood pressure.
Do you view as time spent running as wasted time? Perhaps OP enjoys running. At the very least, you could venture to guess that OP would prefer to spend X amount of time running, (an activity performed out of his/her own volition), than X amount of time dealing with the associated inconveniences of having missed their original flight.
