I was traveling internationally today, and the passport check line was the longest and slowest moving line I’ve ever been in. It took over 90 minutes to clear that line (on top of regular security). By the time I got through the line my flight was getting ready to close its doors. I thought about not even bothering to try to get to the gate at that point because it was probably too late and I’d probably need to see if I can find another flight. But then I remembered I’m a runner and figured there’s no harm in trying. So I proceeded to run an all-out 1,000 meters with a bag in each hand. Caught my flight! So grateful to be a runner. There’s no way a non-runner would have made it.
Good thing you remembered you are a runner. I mean if you forgot you could have missed your flight. Could you imagine you are sitting in the travel cart with the other 500 pound people going I totally forgot I am a runner and could have made it on foot!
