I was traveling internationally today, and the passport check line was the longest and slowest moving line I’ve ever been in. It took over 90 minutes to clear that line (on top of regular security). By the time I got through the line my flight was getting ready to close its doors. I thought about not even bothering to try to get to the gate at that point because it was probably too late and I’d probably need to see if I can find another flight. But then I remembered I’m a runner and figured there’s no harm in trying. So I proceeded to run an all-out 1,000 meters with a bag in each hand. Caught my flight! So grateful to be a runner. There’s no way a non-runner would have made it.

I was there, too. I saw you running. I also saw you running on one of the movable walkways. That is clearly a violation and will result in your time being disqualified. I emailed Derek earlier today to expect to see yourself getting outed on MI.

Some people tried mugging me when I was in peak 800/1500 shape. I feel like I ran a 27 or 28 and gapped them.

Who knows. There are studies that say any health benefits of cardio top off at around 150 minutes per week.

I was fueled by pure anxiety rather than pure hate. I know the positive effects of running the 800 on pure hate are well documented. Based on my experience today, I think more research is needed on the performance benefits of pure anxiety.
