OAC said Millrose is the meet they are preparing, which means they will be running a faster time there than BU. A very competitive field. What will be Nico's 3000m time?

Have we heard why he didn’t run at BU? Maybe a hiccup in his training?
I imagine this will be a low 7:30s race and may unfold similar for Nico to how it did for Bosley a few weeks back. I can see him challenging the CR but feel more comfortable predicting 7:39-40.
I agree. 7:40.
Someone on a different thread pointed out that the men's 3000m meet record at Millrose is 7:38 by Ryan Hill. While I think that the Millrose race will be quick, I expect it to be a bit more tactical and focused on positioning compared to the record-chasing at BU. I assume that when OAC says they intend to peak at Millrose they just mean they'll be in their best shape for that race; one can demonstrate fitness by having a kick or being able to withstand surges, not just by the ability to PR.
I also hope Nico isn't injured. I know it doesn't help anyone to read so much into things, but it is a bit noticeable that neither Grijalva (also running the Millrose 3000) nor Bosley (his fellow collegiate) mentioned doing any workouts with Nico in their interviews from last weekend.
7:39.7
Millrose will run more tactical, it's a payday race for pros so it will be slower and aimed towards who has the best kick. Last week's BU race was a record breaking time trial style race, we won't see that again (unless it happens again at BU). There won't be a huge spread from 1st-last, so I'm going to go with 7:39-7:41
It may be a payday race for pros, but I wonder if for someone like Nuguse if it's worth it to push for an AR. If he goes for it, he could get beaten and still get a nice bonus from his contract if he gets the AR. Also, if he goes that fast, there's far less of a chance that someone like Beamish gets him at the end. He knows he's in shape to run 7:28, and there's hardly anyone in the field who can run 7:28. Seems like a decent way to get money for winning and getting an AR.
If the race is low 7:30s, I think Nico runs 7:34. He's a fast guy.
Nuguse is in the mile, not the 3k. It’s Klecker in the 3k
oh no I forgot
In that case, I wonder if Klecker will push the pace. I doubt it after the 5k performance he gave, but it'd be sick if he took Nuguse's AR from him. I'll put Nico at just under the CR if the race is won in 7:34 or faster.
