Background: I consider myself a rhythm runner and a road racer. I’m also an accomplished cross country runner. I am one of the top two guys on a perennial top-30 NCAA D-1 team.
My build: 6’1”, 130 lbs
Mileage: 95 mi/week (over 6 days) at altitude
Question: I run consistently well on flat surfaces (i.e. roads and flat tracks), and I’ve had a lot of success at altitude and with rolling hills, but my performances are (relatively) horrible on banked tracks. I find that banked tracks really take me out of my rhythm, and that I tire much more quickly. Does anybody else relate or have any thoughts on the matter? Thanks!
