Consider why you want to attend an Ivy League school. They require a lot of commitment to succeed in the classroom, plus running, which leaves little free time to enjoy college. (opinion)
I went to a (D1) school that is virtually equal in prestige to Penn. It depends on your major and how smart you are - I was in a difficult major and I found most of my classes easy, but I also had a great HS education.
Admittedly, I didn't run, but I had more than 5 hours of free time per day.
My daughter was around like 4:53 1600 and 10:30 3200 2:19 800 when Princton DM'ed and then called her right at the start of Jr year. Later Harvard offered a spot (told her they could get her admitted) after she lowered her times a few seconds Jr track season and got a 1380 on the SAT. She ended up at a cheaper P5 school.
Why on earth would you want to go to schools of middling athletic success and wretched atmospheres of neoliberalism, or neoconservatism, and think that this would be your ticket to success in life?
2:15/5:00/11:00 will get you a spot at most of the ivies.
That would mean that the top 100 or so juniors get a close look from an average Ivy. With maybe 1000 D1 middle distance slots in total (?), and the Ivies being far from the most competitive, that seems reasonable to me.
What's a general range of times for a girl in 800, 1600, or 3200 that would get interest from an Ivy?
Assume a good student.
