Kind of crazy that Sweat Elite went from being a really cool insider view of pro workouts to the diary of a weirdo narcissist hobby jogger. 80% of "new" content is Matt Fox's 2:20 attempt season x. If he spent as much time training as he did burning bridges and harassing people, he might get that 2:19:xx.
His new business model seems to be working: Live in Kenya for 4weeks, run a big HM PR and let the YouTube channel content continue to suffer.
Prioritising personal athletics over his business, whether intentional or not just morphs this into 'the Matt Fox Training Channel'. 5/10 of his last uploads have been about himself and the others are mainly videos of people that happened to be staying nearby, so were done by chance. If you listen to his podcast, even his most recent guest was someone he said he only met a couple days before in a hotel lobby. Doesn't strike me as someone being very methodical or intentional about growing this business.I guess he forgot when hanging out with Nick Bester that his YouTube Channel isn't supposed to be about him.
Still, he claimed on his IG that SE is set for some huge cash injection from investors shortly, so we'll see if this brings new content or is just all funnelled into buying him more shoes & flights to Kenya.
His enterprise is circling the drain thanks to the consequences of his unchecked personality disorder.
Matt Fox just makes up most of the training he puts on the website too. I know some of the runners he has posted training for and it is completely false. Either the athletes are lying or he is.
Amazing how threads like this pop up every month. That guy must've really ticked off a lot of people. But I'm hoping for the inevitable collaboration between Matt Fox and Seth James DeMoor because Sweat Elite documenting a DeMoor training block--consisting of random 40 mile runs in random places like parking lots would both be riveting content and enough to make this message board implode, which would be spectacular! :)

(Australian accent) So Seth how many gels are you going to take on this 50k training run? (Seth) I had a bobo and a sip of water last October.
18:01 into 'My Fuelling Plan' video, Matt is talking about changing the format of his Marathon prep videos, but clearly taking another swipe at how Nick has been running his current 'season' of 'Road to Seville': "I just think it drags on and it's not really what anyone wants to see in videos so much, I understand some of you may want to see that but I think the weekly recap videos are better in podcast format because someone sitting infront of a camera talking about their training in chronological order for 10minutes, I just don't think thats overly interesting anymore in my brutal honest opinion"
On a quest to break 2:20 for the Marathon, Sweat Elite founder Matt Fox documents his journey to the Osaka Marathon. This is episode 6 featuring the training...
