As a conservative Tesla owner, I'm happy to see other conservatives celebrating Tesla's success rather than bashing on EVs and sustainable energy. Musk buying twitter was a brilliant chess move to win over republicans.

Let’s separate this.
Elon Musk had a bad year. He lost a ton of wealth with the Twitter purchase and Tesla stock price diving.
Tesla did well in earnings. That’s good. And it’s it good for EVs for them to stay competitive and push the other companies.

- False, the trailing PE is now 35 (forward PE 30)
- It doesn't matter whether it is a "car company" or a "tech company" or whatever. What matters is earnings and earnings growth. Tesla is at a 30 PE and is on track to keep growing earnings >50% per year. That deserves a premium to the "car companies" who are losing market share and had negative revenue growth over the last 5 years.
