A little harsh, it's just a play on the name. Schlachtenhaufen means battle pile or slaughter pile, which is a bit graphic already. Haufen Mist means pile of manure and is used in common speech, perhaps by a boss complaining about a messy office.
I thought the milers Norris, S-haufen and Vissa would put up a defense of their turf against a 10k runner and a college kid. They didn't, and you don't often get a chance to make a German pun.
Well one of them didn't go against Tuohy because she didn't show up on the starting line.
I'm glad Tuohy is not sandbagging in college. Tough as nails to accept two elite races in 2 weeks, versus top professional runners that's been training at altitude, excited to see how Tuohy stacks up. Hopefully she benefits big with PRs and records. It's about time someone breaks Jenny Barringer's mile record.

My WAG is 4:28 and 8:43. 4:30 or slower and/or 8:48 or slower would I think be a disapointment.
So my WAG was too conservative as she ran 4:24 and 8:35. I do think she would have been veru disappointed with either 4:30 or 8:48
