I’m a sophomore and have been running since freshman year. I ran 5:10 and 2:18 so far indoors and running just doesn’t get easier. I ran 8miles today and it was death. 9:30 pace. I feel like I should be able to run an 8 milers at 8:00-8:30 pace and feel good. But instead I did 9;30 and feel terrible. Any ideas? Most of my runs are 5-7miles at 8:30 pace (plus or minus 15 seconds). I run 6 days a week.
I haven’t really done any workouts yet so hoping once I start workouts easy runs will get, well, easier. I also want to get well under 5:00 and get down closer to 2:10 for outdoors.
