This is not a "pro news" thread.
That said, the whole meat industry in America is disgusting (and it is probably worse in many other countries). I can't imagine eating factory processed chicken, pork, hamburger, etc. It is beyond gnarly.
Cook it well because it is crawling in bacteria, skin, gristle, nerves, beaks and anus/colon parts.
What percentage of Americans have access to locally sourced, ethically raised, clean meat?
p.s. And how they treat their workers is something out of the 19th century. Insane that we think it is "worth it." Do people really like their chicken tenders and buffalo wings that much?
Ah yes, Capitalism! Come for the slave wages, stay for the cruelty.
It's beyond time to (1) eat the rich, (2) take their fortunes and (3) enact massive regulation and reform to rebuild a robust middle class and fair labor market in the US.
Until we do these things, only the very top sliver of people will truly thrive while the rest of us eat sh*t and die early.
