Not sure exactly who the poster is referring to, but Mccolgan, Klosterhalfen, Grovdaal, Batocletti, and Schweizer are probably all better long distance runners. (Poster didn’t specify marathon)
I'll grant McColgan the nod for her 10K-1/2marathon, but needs a marathon to be truly superior.
The rest, simply no, and it's not even close. Monson will be eventually if she stays healthy.
Klosterhalfen has the fastest 3000m, the 3rd or so fastest 5000m (as a solo run) and the fastest half marathon of non-Africans of all time (more than a minute faster than Sisson). And a worlds bronze medal in sub 14:30 (and all this but the half was before supershoes). Unless you count marathon as something superspecial (and because of supershoes that help considerably more there than on track, I'd rather not), I'd also say Schweizer is about as a good as Sisson, Monson as well. (Batocletti does not belong here, she had a single outlier good race at the Olympics but we don't know if she will be able to get back to that level again.)
It wasn't bad, but I talked to a few northerners that struggled with the humidity. Yesterday would have been perfect conditions, but the wind clocked around to the south and brought the humidity onshore from the gulf. I think the dew point went from mid 20s to 54 in 24 hours.
Molly Seidel hung with the Africans (and everyone else) in Tokyo. Sisson is significantly faster than Seidel. Sisson can hang with the Africans.
the Olympics are a watered down event where countries can only send 3 entries each, and both Kenya and Ethiopia are notorious for sending athletes who aren't in top shape.

There are like 30 people in Kenya that could beat Seidel in a marathon. The Olympic Marathon is the only race we can keep up, because they are limited to 3 per country and half the top runners skip it anyway for Berlin. Sisson is minutes away from being able to hang with the Africans, no idea why people feel the need to embellish these performances.

I missed KK's Valencia race, which was a massive turnaround for her otherwise lackluster year. Her 10000 PB is still 12 seconds off of Emily's, and Emily has proven herself repeatedly over the 1/2 marathon and marathon. How much faster would Emily be at Valencia? Hard to say, but for me it takes more than one great 1/2 M race to say "better long distance runner". I'll call that a draw until we see more evidence. Emily is still easily in the top three non-Africans as far as I can tell.
Schweizer (when healthy, which still may not be the case) and Monson are better distance runners, but that wasn't the category of the original comment.

How much faster would Sisson be at Valencia? Emily ran 1:07:26 at Valencia in 2020, or almost 2 minutes slower than Koko. Koko is only 25. She’s only run 2 10ks. PRd the first time running solo the last 14 laps while lapping the entire field including 2nd placer Kiera D’Amato her teammate who she shepherded in the first 10 laps of that race, helping Kiera get her Olympic qualifier. Her second 10k was in late 2022 coming off Covid only 5 seconds off her pb.
Only 4 minutes behind Gidey now. And she could make it halfway pacing Kosegi for the full ‘thon
Sisson is now the best clean female long distance runner in the world. If she was taking the same drugs that are commonplace in Ethiopia and Kenya, she could hold that pace for a marathon too.
This is not only racist it only reeks of ignorance. Firstly she isn't the best white distance runner in the world. Secondly, its quite interesting to give people a doping violation based on their nationality and think that she would pass as clean by that standard.

I will dispel some ignorance for you: Sisson trains with Ray Treacy, who has one of the most storied coaching careers in history, utterly free of the taint of doping. Meanwhile, Kenya rolls up dozens of drug busts among it's top runners every year.
This has nothing to do with racism and everything to do with doping culture and availability. East Germany and Russia are both Caucasian racially, but I don't see anybody making excuses for their histories of egregious doping.

It is wild to claim that all of the 38 women with faster half marathons in the last three years or 21 with faster full marathons are doping. Surely some are, but seriously all of them? That is hard to believe. If all of them are dirty, then statistically, likely Sisson is too. More likely, many are clean and some (maybe even many) are dirty, but not even close to all of them.
Its a good result, it means she is fit, but pardon me if I don't get super excited. Her marathon time is worth a 66 flat, so she should be able to run even faster than this. To think these 3 women have run faster is telling
Once she has an equivalent/better performance than her marathon PB and is on the top of the non-ethiopian/kenyans, then I'll really get excited. Till then its just a good result. The US half marathon womens records is one of the softest American records, so its nice to break, but not as meaningfull as others.

It is however, based on recent evidence, much more likely that the Kenyans on those lists are doping than either the Ethiopians or Sisson, until the evidence changes.

Or the Japanese, German, British, Israeli etc. The point is that the list is quite long, some will be clean some won't.

Niiya's half marathon predicts 2:16:58, which is why she was heartbroken to not break the 2:19 NR. Sisson would have easily beaten her today over the half marathon. Comparing times on completely different courses in different conditions of the other two is futile. They are all being drowned in the tidal wave of East Africans in any case, and this is likely to continue as long as the current doping inequities prevail.

Even ignoring the racism here, if you are limiting yourself to Caucasian athletes, Sisson isn't even in the top 3 currently.
