Set a Fieldhouse record of 4:01:72. Old record was by Doug Padilla at 4:02:9 in 1981. The track there is over-sized at 5-laps for a mile. Altitude is about ~4627 ft. Worth about 3:56:xx at sea-level.

That track sucks too. Super weird to run on and pace yourself. It's like running through a hallway
Second pace was 4:08:43 (Joey Nokes of BYU). He might have been able to go faster if had more company!
Which track? The track that Doug Padilla ran on or the current (newer) track?
Just showed my daughters.. now that’s legit. When you break a record from the 1980s.
I actually kind of liked that track. I ran my fastest-ever 5k time on it as a time-trial.
But dog-forbid someone walk out onto it from the middle right at one of those blind corners (like the thrower's field, or the short-track cut-through). At one point they had like a cafeteria where you could buy smoothie shakes or something. I knocked over at least a couple of clueless people who walked right across the track there. Idjits.
That’s a slow track to run fast on, there’s a super sharp turn on one side that can really kill momentum. This is impressive!
Sounds like an xc course. Anyone ever go missing?
Is there a rule against attaching a helium balloon to yourself while running a road race?
Am I living in the twilight zone? The Boston Marathon weather was terrible!
How rare is it to run a sub 5 minute mile AND bench press 225?
